flava-it™ Marinade Recipes

Tikka Dahl

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet of flava-it Tikka Masala Marinade
  • 100g (4oz) Green Lentils, washed
  • 100g (4oz) Basmati Rice, washed
  • 1 Stick Celery - cut lengthwise and chopped
  • 1 medium Red Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 2 x 15mlsp (2tbsp) Vegetable Oil
  • 800ml (1pt 9fl oz) Vegetable Stock (made from water with 2 vegetable stock cubes)
  • 2 x 15mlsp (2tbsp) Chopped Mint

Method

Method
1. Heat the oil in a heavy based saucepan, add the onion, garlic and celery and cook until slightly brown.
2. Add the flava-it™ Tikka Marinade, stir in and then add the rice and lentils, cook for 1 minute.
3. Pour in the stock and bring to the boil, simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally, add more stock if necessary as the dish should be moist.
4. Before serving stir in the chopped mint.
